Over the past few years I have bought several vacuum cleaners. Some were bagless and some had bags. I’ve had poor success with vacuum cleaners until now. I had a Eureka vacuum cleaner that was supposed to be specially made for people with pets. But before the bag would ever get full, the brush would get full of fur so that I couldn’t use it anymore. I recently got another vacuum cleaner, but I couldn’t make one pass through my living room before it too was clogged full of hair. So when I got this vacuum cleaner out of the box, I didn’t expect it to be better than all the rest. But I had read a lot of comments before purchasing this one and decided to give it a chance. As soon as I began vacuuming the area rug on top of the carpet in my living room, I was amazed as the rug began to appear under all the fur that previous vacuum cleaners couldn’t touch. But as amazing as it looked, I knew not to get my hopes up. Many times I had begun vacuuming this same rug when clumps of fur would finally cough up. But that didn’t happen with the Bissell Cleanview! As long as it kept sucking up the fur, I kept vacuuming. Finally I began seeing little fur balls appear. Looking at the canister, I realized I probably should have stopped and emptied out the canister. I had just been so excited to see one work!I liked the way that the canister could be lifted off and taken somewhere to be emptied. When I emptied it, it was so full of fur that I was having trouble getting out fur that jammed up near the filter. No wonder some little fur balls had appeared. I finally took all the fur that got sucked up in the living room and hallway and took some photos of it (I placed it in a plastic container to give a better idea of the amount of fur with top and side views). Then I took a photo of the bottom of the vacuum cleaner – there wasn’t any fur down there like every other vacuum cleaner I’ve ever owned.But this vacuum cleaner is made to pick up all the fur and dirt and make it easy to clean it up. I was only able to get all the fur out of the canister by lifting out the filter. But it is made to do that easily. Then there is a sponge which was caked with fur and dirt in my case. Instructions said that you could use water and mild detergent to clean it so I rinsed out the parts with a little Dawn dishwashing soap. I put a couple of drops of Dawn on the sponge and all the brown dirt came out. The instructions say to make sure that all the parts are dry before using them again. I dried out the canister with a towel then set it aside to air dry the rest. The sponge looked brand new after I washed it out. By the next morning, everything – including the sponge – was bone dry and ready to go again.So it seems like my dog has met his match and not a moment too soon. This is peak shedding season. If I had any idea that it was going to perform as well as it did, I would have taken “before” photos of my rug. Now the vibrant colors are back – it is no longer covered with fur.And one more bonus, it did a great job of sucking up leaves and parts of leaves near my back door! I would give it 6 stars if I could and a definite two paws up!!!

This little vacuum is replacing a central vac. The central vac hose would rub against baseboard and harm the paint. Always bothered me. Flooring installer mention this little machine. Decided a flooring installer would know quality in a vacuum, and he does. We use it exclusively on hardwood flooring, works great. Long and adjustable shoulder strap makes it comfortable to carry. Thirty foot cord means you’re not constantly unplugging as you go along.
My old 2010 Hoover Portapower had to go in for repairs after 9 years of professional residential cleaning. Purchased another which arrived today. Great vaccum for floors, upholstery but so great on carpets.5 stars for affordable price and great product.I really wanted to love this vacuum. It is beautifully designed, at least if you like a rugged, commercial aesthetic. Pieces click to together in a satisfying way, and the chrome gleams against the gray and orange color scheme. I really enjoyed putting it together. I enjoyed the fact that it is not as loud as my previous Hoover, and the children and cats did not flee the room in terror when I turned it on.However, when it came to using it on our hardwood floors, it did not perform. I felt like I was chasing the dirt around, rather than sucking it up. I had to put my hand over the nozzle to make sure that it really was functioning, and yes, if you place your hand right over the tube, you can feel suction. A moderate amount of suction. I found that if I swept really well ahead of time, it might pick up some of the stray leftover dirt. But forget about anything stuck in the cracks between the floorboards. If I didn’t sweep really well, I was on my knees, picking up bits of tissue and stray threads that the vacuum had failed to suck up. With some experimentation, it became clear that the suction was not strong enough to spread over the floor cleaning tools with any effectiveness, and the best result was achieved with the crevice tool or the bare nozzle. Sweeping a 1 inch tube back and forth over the entire surface area of our small home would make vacuuming a long and dull task.
Bought for stairway of a small six unit apartment building with very low pile carpet. Did not do too good a job of pick up/left bits which i thought it would have picked up. Attachments are very hard to pull off . Clip is very tight and hurts fingers to pull off. Came with fabric bag easy to empty but have to put hands inside to pull hairs out. Cable a bit short for a commercial vacuum so have to use an extension cable. Ended up ordering another different vacuum as this one does not work for what i need. That being said tried at home and works pretty good on hardwood floors or perhaps a car vacuum for light cleaning jobs.

I own three of these and would be surprised if I ever find another product that surpasses the ProTeam brand. Reaching under chairs and tables and sofas is a breeze, Reaching ceiling corners–from where the odious spiders love to challenge us–is not a problem at all. Changing the bag and washing the filters is also quick and swift. I’ve tried extension cords from other sources but the one provided by ProTeam seems to work the best (I don’t know why… but it is less prone to tangling and to becoming kinked). We purchased the additional backpack to put it to exclusive service at a residence where the homeowner had had a stem cell transplant–rendering the immune system inactive–and were confident that this vacuum would effectively maintain the sanitized environment that was required. It did not fail us and we would like to think that it contributed to our client’s speedy recovery in a dust-free environment.In summary, we love the quality of this product. I really love this vacuum. I’m a tall girl, so most vacuums require me to bend down to use them and it kills my back. This thing lets me stand upright. I bought it to clean my house and I’m really happy with it.The only problem I have is that it plugs in at a connection point that you need to remove it from your back to reconnect it when it slips off from connecting. This vacuum is just the ticket if you have either dogs or a large house and get a lot of dust/fur. You can vacuum much faster than dragging around a machine. The cord is long and allows you to move quickly from room to room. There’s a floor attachment with a brush that you can also use on large flat surfaces to dust, and one that’s flat to glide over carpets. Other reviewers have mentioned not being able to get the attachments to connect, while the directions are of little help, in a couple of tries you can figure it out. You need to by and use the dust bags to keep the machine clean but you can reuse them by just dumping them in the trash (outside). This isn’t going to deep clean carpets like your Dyson, that’s not what its meant to do, but its really going to cut down on your cleaning time.
I was worried at first since the Hoover has 8.5 amps, so I’ve been using it to clean small buildings. I have an old Proteam Vac that has high raw power, but I see that raw power is useless. The Hoover vac has very good suction and one of the best vacuum wands/brushes I have ever used. The wand is the best for commercial carpet. I found the brush easily removes dirt on heavy rugs. I vacuum about 4-6 hours a day and always had backaches with the Proteam vacs, also the Proteam vacs hurt my lower abs after a long period of time. The Hoover vac after 4-6 hours of use only left my back slightly tired which is natural for the period of time I vacuum.

Most people will never understand the hardships of finding anything that works to get it off any hard floor.Starting with the cons:Comes with a crappy S wand that you have to be a giant to hold and use properly. Easy fix order a 32mm straight wand or an adjustable one. When doing this you have to remove the hose adjuster out of the end of the it and stuff it in the black hose. To make it fit.There is no easy way to clean bag with out getting dust all over your self. The problem I was trying to solve with this vacuum is that I was tired of lugging a huge canister vacuum all over my rather small house where I have three floors and not a lot of room to maneouvre. Most of my floors are low-to-mid-pile carpet and for those that aren’t carpet, I don’t normally vacuum them – I mop and/or sweep.Most of the upright vacuums that are readily available in stores seem to be heavily-marketed to look like they’re more than they (like what is done with modern cars), and with this comes a significant amount of bulk and loss in functionality. I wanted a vacuum I could put in my closet when I wasn’t using it, and something that went flat to vacuum underneath beds and other low-lying furniture.You’ll probably know by looking at this whether it’s what you want – you are likely looking for function over form. It turns on and off. It has one height only and the cord is manually wrapped around cord retainers at the back. It’s light (I can carry it one-handed up the stairs). It has good suction. It’s quite noisy. It doesn’t have a light. It doesn’t have attachments. It is just what I was looking for.
I purchased my first Oreck approx. 15 years ago along with a free gift of a hand vacuum which is still in use. Last month I finally had to replace my much loved machine with its holed bag (which I had stitched) but, after years of hard use, the steel stem broke so…..I shopped locally and bought an Electrolux which is also an excellent vacuum – except that it was too heavy for me (a senior with arthritic hands), made one heck of a racket and had to be adjusted. everybody this is Chris with vacuum Wars today I’m going to be reviewing the pro team coach vac 10-quart backpack vacuums with HEPA filtration this is a little bit different format that I normally do I did all the things I usually do I did all the tests and got all the footage but I wanted to just sit here and talk about backpack vacuums and the pro team specifically because there’s just a lot to know about bagpipe vacuums and why you should get one and why you shouldn’t get one also for any subscribers that might be interested to stick around at the end of this video I’m gonna do a short vlog about what’scoming up on the channel and so on so let’s get into it first the reason why you should get a backpack vacuum if you are in any kind of commercial janitorial situation where you have a large area to vacuum whether that’s a gymnasium or a huge office building or something like that I actually after testing this I can’t imagine anybody has a job like that that doesn’t have a backpack vacuum it literally well ProTeam says it saves you 43 percent of time and therefore money I guess if you’re in a janitorial situation and an hour just little tiny test in this room that takes about two minutes to vacuum with it upright that we bore that out I think we save 43 seconds on that now you have to factor in you know you’ve got to put on thevacuum and buckle it up and attach the tools and get the cord ready and all that stuff.
So there’s a little bit of preamble that you don’t normally have but in a huge situation that is negligible but one of the reasons is and I’ve got footage of this but the way that you vacuum is a completely different motion it’s kind of like aside-to-side sweeping it’s not this forward push and pull that you normally do with vacuums you can do that with this and in fact protein has different extension wands and different floor heads that are made for that for more residential cleaning which we’ll talk about in a minute but for the most part.This is made for huge sweeps of floors that clean huge areas something that if you try to do with an upright vacuum you know it’s just going to take you so much more time so that’s why you get a backpack vacuum you would not want a backpack vacuum in most situations that are residential I can see someat least maybe not the big 10 quart version protein also has a 6 quart version and the reason is because when you get it all on and everything it’s a little bit bulky when you’re going through doors you know you couldprobably knock over somebody’s very expensive china plates or something like that if you were in a residential situation so it would be a little bit dangerous in that regard but like I said they have a smaller version and they even have on their website as I mentioned a different kind of extension one with a different floor heads and stuff that you can use explicitly for residential cleaning but honestly I don’t see a lot of benefit for doingthat in a residential setting I could be wrong I didn’t have one to test so I could be completely wrong about that all right so the protein specifically I wasgoing to do a comparison video where Ingot the Hoover commercial backpack vacuum and I couldn’t decide on a third one I was thinking maybe the sanitaire anyway I did all this research and the protein just kept coming up head and shoulders above everything else I was looking at but the main reason I just stuck with protein and did a review on it was because protein just has so many options so many different tools and and and and heads and different things all the other ones I saw basically came with their attachment set and that was it they might have like one or two more things you can buy but with the protein line it was just so many options and I think this kind of vacuuming really does need to be tailored to your specific situation so let’s talk about that so when you’re looking at different packages of protein vacuums it’s usually going to come with like one floor head and a few different attachments and so on but you need to pay attention to that because the four heads are not necessarily good for universal situations this is good for carpet and hard floors this one right here with this sort of purple exterior here they do claim this is good for carpets and hard floors but they make the claim that because this is hard plastic only hard floors that are not likely to be harmed by hard plastic so you don’t want to you know vacuums sensitive hard floors or a really nice hard floor situation with this one this is mostly for carpets and they have this one that’s for carpets as well and I would stay away from this one I use this forabout a second was like oh my gosh and this is terrible it might be okay for some situations maybe like a corporate really thincarpet or something like this but everything I use is for I really did notlike this version for hard floors they’ve got a whole lot of different attachments most of them are your standard kind of brushes they’ve got a brush has a very wide gate on the front and then it’s kind of closed off on the sides I normally don’t like brushes in a residential setting because there’s aot of pet hair and stuff but it would actually be really good for a corporate setting where you’re not dealing with a lot of pet hair but if you do have pet hair or whatever I bought this attachment separately because I’ve never seen anything like it before basicallythey’re using a really thick piece of felt here that’s castle cut the castle cuts are pretty big and this was great for hard floors but I would probably be okay with just about any of their hard floor brush attachments as well so just keep that in mind make sure you knowwhat kind of attachment you’re getting when you buy a particular set oh I can’t believe I didn’t get into this yet the power of this thing is literally off the charts we measured the CFM at the end of this one and CFM is air flow we measured the air flow at the end of this one at 123 CFM which is crazy high and we measured the CFM at the end of when it’s all set up and at the end of the the hose at when it’s all setup at 117 CFM that’s extremely hot for example the Kirby upright vacuum which as far as I know has the most airflow of any uprightvacuum on the market it could be wrong but I’m pretty sure the Kirby is them up the highest airflow now the Kirby does have higher air flow by just a little bit at the cleaner head but the Kirby when you use it as a canister vacuum so you have kind of like this whole setup right here you’ve got a hose and you’vegot a wand when you use the Kirby like that the we measured it at only 71 CFM so basically apples-to-apples the Kirby was 71 CFM and this was 117 CFM so we’re really talking about a huge amount of power the suction was pretty good too I mean really good it was 81 inches of water which is uncommonness it is a bagged system the bag is very big it’s basically the entire girth of this entire cylinder there so howdoes that air flow manifest in its cleaning ability it’s really noticeable I mean you can just point that thing at anything it’s basically just gonna suck everything up and because it’s got a really wide you know intake here and the bag is so big there’s basically nothing that can’t handle as long as it can get throughhere you know there’s nothing that this thing won’t suck up now in our pickuptests which are a little exaggerated there was some snow plowing I did to kind of have to lift it up like at an angle like this to pick up the larger debris and part of that was because the airflow was so good it was trying to youknow stick down especially with thick carpet so that little angle helped toget everything in there but in a hard floor situation with light debris in a normal kind of corporate situation you know that back-and-forth motion would just be all you would need to do to get all the stuff that would typically be on the floor so all that to say really impressed with its performance and hard floors and carpets because its airflow was so high it was sort of it’s the answer to not having agitation for carpet so normally you have a brush that’s agitating carpet getting the debris to be loosened up to be sucked up but because the airflow was just so much it was basically deep cleaning carpets just because of the sheer amount of sealand airflow that it had in carpets so it was really good on carpets really good on hard floors as far as its comfort and maneuverability and things a few things to notice first the on/off switch here was pretty handy also it’s got a kind of cord holder that holds the cord and keeps it out of your way also there are sort of loops for different attachments for like kind of Batman utility belt here so you can kind of keep some of this stuff here to take out at the appropriate time it feltpretty comfortable the padding was notquite as padded as I was thinking it was but I didn’t really notice it or noticeany lack of it this was pretty padded here here I can keep it on for any huge length of time maybe the longest was maybe 20 or30 minutes and didn’t notice anything it may have I might have noticed it if I had it on longer than that and I might have noticed it if I had a smaller frame or something like that but for me it was comfortable as comfortable as I expected it to be this this model here is the SCM 1280 – you can see it’s got the HEPAfiltration logo on the front and that’s one difference in some of the newer models as they are HEPA filtration they are a sealed system and so look for the HEPA filtration if you are going to get one so I’ll put the links in the description to all of this information and to Amazon for reviews but you’ll see in those reviews these things are just really highly regarded in the industry especially the commercial industry so I guess in conclusion I would say this is a must-have for commercial situation if I was in a janitorial situation and it had a huge area I would be asking my supervisor for one of these but it’s definitely not something I would want to use in our residential cleaning business at least not the one this size and withthis configuration because the areas are just too small there’s so much precision stuff happening instead of huge spaces that I need to cover so that’s really the advantage of backpack vacuums so links in the description and thanks the diba 901 robot vacuum and I told both of those companies that I would also do in addition to the review a comparison video so I need to get those two comparison videos done probably sooner than later but after that I’ve got Shark Week coming up for shark weeks probably because I’ve gotthree new sharks coming up we’ve already done the shark ion p50 but we’ve got both shark zero games coming in the apec 0m and the navigator I’m really excited about both of thosewhat’s different about the Navigator there’s a lot of things I’m interested to see if they changed in the net rather in the in the apex but yeah with the navigator to the navigators they’re selling those at a pretty reasonable price about $200 right now as they just came out so it expect them to drop a little bit so it looks like those newnavigators with zero M’s are maybe going to try to replace the 300 series navigator lift-away z– in any case I want to see what the difference is if there’s power differences really excited about that but in addition to that I also have the new shark cordless besides the p50 it’s called the f80 which is it’s just look like an eye on flex I don’t know what exactly is differentbetween the f80 and the eye on flex toeye on flex 2x which also had two batteries so I’m really excited to see what the difference is is there going to be a CFM difference suction difference battery life looks to be pretty interesting so that’s all coming up in the next few weeks also I don’t know what happened with Roomba and neato butthey just decided in like one year to completely change their lineup so most of what I know about robot vacuums and the two that I’m most interested in in terms of the big companies Roomba and neato have a whole bunch of different vacuums so I’m going to put out to line up videos where basically they’re for my purposes mostly where I go through and do a spreadsheet and try to figure outwhat all the specs are of the new lineups so I’ll put those videos out and then I’ll decide based on those videos which ones of those if any I want to buy the i7 plus Roomba is really interesting because it has that automatic been emptying system and I think that’s going to be a game changer I think a lot ofvacuums are going to have to do that because that’s that’s the bottleneck with robot vacuums especially in big situations if they have a lot of pet hair I mean they’re you can’t schedule cleaning because it’ll just fill up the bin and it really didn’t do anything but with the automatic bin em team it’s going to be a pretty cool thing to see if it works that now diba or rather max has done one like that before that’sthe r98 I think and it has that and I haven’t tested that and I haven’t really seen a lot about that so I may end up getting the i7 plus and maybe the are 98 depending on if another robot vacuum comes out with something like that as well but I have noticed I’m just kind of spitballing here that um that the theneat there the Roomba because it’s a camera navigation robot they are severely limited in what they can do in terms of their mapping and the software for example if you watch me my robot vacuums you know I’m like in love with the idea of being able to on the app mark off all the places you don’t want the robot to go and with the Roomba it has sort of a very limited way to do that well it does what the D BOTS and the neato want I haven’t seen the new Nino’s I think the ninos do this now to where you can choose which room to vacuum which is cool but the rumbas are still using the old situation with the virtual wall barriers they give you either one or two virtual wall barriers which I said as I said in the D bot review recently they seem like relics of the past based on what you can do with the laser nap BOTS like the ninos and the D bots in case you didn’t know echomax is like a pretty premium robot vacuum manufacturer they are number one in Asia they’re basically like the iRobot of Asia they’re number two inEurope and in the u.s. though they don’t have they’re not in a lot of stores or whatever they are consistently like the number one robot vacuum sold on Amazon like the like last black friday the thetop two robot vacuums sold were both echo max models so they are a player that doesn’t do a lot of advertising and a lot of that kind of stuff but they have like you know a hundred patents and they’re in fact shark certain ninja when they created their shark ion robot they partnered with echovox i don’t know the details of this specifically but i guess basically to make it for them i don’t know i don’t know how that exactly happens so don’t quote me on any of that so it’s a pretty big player that i wantto keep an eye on but all that to say that the main videos that have coming up or i’m going to get theto comparison videos out then I’ve got Shark Week or shark weeks and then I’ve got all the comparison videos that will come out from that comparing the new shark to the Dyson’s and so on and so forth and that I really want to get into robot vacuums specifically trying to figure out the lineups of the Roombasand nito’s because they have just completely changed so
